This course provides participants with a general introduction to the subject of conflict management/violence & aggression. It provides a basic overview of managing conflict in the workplace and concentrates on personal safety.

• Policy, procedure and reporting incidents

• Personal safety and De-escalation
• Identification of personal safety factors
• Recognition of communication skills
• Recognition of trigger factors
• Legal and ethical issues
• Policy and procedures
• Post incident support
Duration: Approximately 4 hours.
Assessment and certification: This course is continually assessed. Students receive a certificate that is valid for 2 years.
